''Clothing begins with a conversation between the body and the material. Through print and knit, I explore how a garment takes shape, moves, and develops an identity of its own.''

About
Sandra Zomer is an independent fashion design studio where clothing, craftsmanship and personal attention come together.
Alongside ready-to-wear collections, the studio offers made-to-measure and bespoke garments, repairs, alterations and creative design services. Each project evolves through listening, experimentation and careful consideration of how a garment feels and moves on the body.
Through print, knitwear and thoughtful construction, we create pieces with a character of their own, expressive, functional and designed to be worn, valued and cherished for many seasons.
My Story
Sandra graduated from ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands in 2016 with her collection Illusive Mind. The collection later received the FESPA Young Star Award in Hamburg and won the International Youth Design Competition at BIFT in Beijing.
Following her studies, Sandra worked with high-end fashion brands and specialist production companies across design, development and production. Working closely with print, knitwear, garment construction and manufacturing gave her an understanding of clothing from both a creative and technical perspective.
These experiences shaped the approach behind Sandra Zomer today: combining experimentation with practical knowledge, and allowing material, construction and process to guide the development of each garment. This has grown into a slower and more considered way of working, centred on thoughtful development, careful material choices and longevity.
Rather than designing for rapid replacement, the studio creates clothing intended to be worn, cared for, adapted, repaired and kept in use over time.
Visions Altered
The Illusive Mind collection explores the shifting relationship between perception, movement and form. Reality becomes a changing lens through which architectural knitwear and bespoke prints, produced in limited editions, shape silhouettes that evolve with the body.
Sharp lines and spectral gradients create tension between clarity and uncertainty, while innovative textiles and unexpected materials heighten the sensory experience. Each piece is developed through meticulous craftsmanship and architectural precision, blurring the boundary between what is seen and what is felt.
The result is a wardrobe that reimagines the physical form, fashion as a distorted reflection.
Where architectural structure meets fluid movement and bespoke print.
